Just over a week ago I was very lucky to take part in a two day newborn photography workshop with the amazing Kelly Brown from Little Pieces Photography in Queensland, I’ve been waiting for what seems like forever for her to come to Perth so that I could learn from her and it was well worth the wait. It was a bit surreal to finally meet the person that you have been drawing inspiration from for so long.
The weekend flew by, infact I had a numb foot for almost a week following the workshop because on the second day I was sitting in an awkward position with pressure on one foot and didn’t realise so much time past! I learnt lots of new handy bits and pieces, wrapping tricks and business tips. I find watching someone else working right in front of me really helps absorb the information plus I got to meet 19 other lovely newborn photographers who travelled from as far as Geraldton, Karratha and Darwin to attend!
Now I just have to wait patiently for some new babies to be born to make use of some of this new knowledge!
